The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set a new universal standard for development which aims to ensure that no one is left behind.
World leaders adopted a Pact for the Future that includes a Global Digital Compact and a Declaration on Future Generations. This Pact is the culmination of an inclusive, years-long process to adapt international cooperation to the realities of today and the challenges of tomorrow.
The event is organized by the Embassy of Sweden, UN Women Austria and UNIS Vienna and forms part of the global Orange the World campaign, dedicated to raising awareness and taking action to end gender-based violence. Kicking off with a panel discussion at the Vienna International Centre (VIC), a 6km run will follow to the Embassy of Sweden, and conclude with a reception at the Embassy.

In cooperation with the Slovak National Institute for Education and Youth (NIVAM), the United Nations Information Service (UNIS) Vienna invited teachers from all over Slovakia to attend the workshop "Teaching the United Nations and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” at the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna.
